Pros and cons of Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee app for iPhone and iPad

Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee app good for

So many games on the App Store, lots of crap, lots of good, this one was great! The best part, you dont finish it in 5 minutes! Its a long game with lots of story. Well done. When is the next one in the series?
This review is not really for the main story game but for the port quality as Ive already finished the original on Xbox. With that being said my opinion for the actual game is that this is one of the most challenging(to save everyone) and involving gameplay experiences Ive ever had. This is the way a real game is made
This is a great game now Im just waiting for the Jak and Daxter iOS version seriously if this got on we need a Jak and Daxter iOS version but this game is awesome so get it its worth it!
I played this so much as a kid and seeing this on the AppStore made my day. This is an amazing port of the timeless classic and I couldnt be more impressed! Not only does it feel just like playing the original, but the better graphics makes it that much better. The controls are spot on, and it makes me even more glad to have the ability to customize the control layout. Everything about this game is perfect. Pros: -basically everything. Nitpicks: -The audio settings seem too limited. There are times where I cant hear the characters speak because of the background noise, and I cant do anything to change that. There should be an option to change only the volume of the voices in the game. -The game doesnt automatically save inbetween levels. I lost and hour and a half worth of progress because my phone died and I forgot to save. It kind of sucked tbh. -There are a few times where the frame rate goes down. This is usually when a lot is happening on screen, so it is understandable (and it happened on the original, too). Conclusion: This is absolutely a perfect port for the perfect game. A must have for every gamer.
There are certain parts in the game that slow down a lot, and then... Crash. Hopefully, this can get fixed in a later version. Anyway, I love all of the parts that Ive been able to play soon far!
I cant stop playing. This is a 5 star game for sure. The customizable controls are amazing. Its better than the Xbox version. Every bad review is wrong. Ive never had a crash on my iPhone 5. If you ever loved an Oddworld game you owe it to yourself. Skip whatever you were going to spend a few bucks on today and download the best phone game of all time. Now. Stop reading and download it now.

Some bad moments

The thing Ive missed most about this series was Abes voice and you sell a game with no sound at all? It only works in the main menu but once you start playing its all gone, you cant hear music nor voices. Gameplay is horrible and impossible like that. What a waste of money
I have bought 100s of iOS games and never have had any issues that make a game unplayable before. When it was first released it was crashing so much I could not play it so I sent an email letting them know and told them I would wait for a update. So they did an update and it made it 10x worse. Absolutely any interaction with anything in the game will make it crash. I am baffled, these people spend all this money to port a game and then they dont play it at all before releasing it? I am using an iPad mini 2, will reboot then make sure all apps are closed and nothing changes. I hope the next update will fix this issue.
Played this game on the Xbox when I was younger. The app is just like the console version. Very fun!
I love oddworld stranger wrath, it is one of my all time favorites, and while it can be difficult at times to control it is nowhere as impossible as this game. For me the controls are horrible, and make the game completely unplayable. So sad since I would check the App Store monthly for a year hoping to see a new oddworld only to find it its unplayable, at least for me maybe others have had better luck with the controls. The abundance of good reviews here make me wonder if they have even tried playing this game or if there is there is just something seriously wrong with mine. Edit: I updated the game but controls are still very bad and unusable now coupled with the fact the game crashes about every 90 seconds
I would give me stars but every time I open the app now it crashes before I can load my game...it was working beautifully the first few days of purchase, but after the recent update hasnt been opening. Please fix.
Had this years ago on Xbox. Worked well until update, now crashes frequently on iPad pro.
